XTH - officially closed notice from support
Has anyone received an email telling them that the XTH has been officially closed and that no points will be rewarded for the last month.
Reason I am asking this is: I received and email, that has detail of all the previous support tickets a whole bunch of it with the latest news that XTH has been closed and due to some difficulty that the points will not be given for the last XTH. But that is not why I am asking, I ask because this email was sent to an email address that is the not one that I used to contact NCSoft support in the previous dealings. |

I've seen someone post something about getting an email like this... I can't remember who it was, though. I do remember that he send an email to support inquiring about the XTH and the may points back when it was still unclear whether the XTH would ever return.

Here is a slightly edited version of what I got (for anonymity) so you should have gotten something similar with all the links/etc:
Subject XTH May Tournament Rewards Discussion Thread Response (GM [Og]) 02/22/2010 11:26 AM Hello, I certainly appreciate your patience over the last few months as the Development Team strived to correct various issues with the Xunlai Tournament House (XTH). While we hoped that an improved version would surface, further investigation into the game code revealed that a rewrite of the entire system would be the only way to return it to its former glory. However, to do this would require fundamental resources and programmers from the Guild Wars 2 team. After weighing the pros and cons of such a decision it was decided that the focus should remain on Guild Wars 2. As a result, the Development team has decided to permanently retire the Xunlai Tournament House system. I know that some of you did not receive the correct points for the May 2009 results. Unfortunately, we cannot award the proper points for that month because of the technical issues that caused the XTH to be brought down in the first place. Instead you can visit High Priest Zhang in the Great Temple of Balthazar and he will offer a fixed number of Tournament Reward Points as compensation. These points can be turned in to Tolkano to claim prizes. Please note that this is a one time offer per account and cannot be repeated once you have claimed the points. If you have any questions, please let us know. Regards, GM [Og] The Guild Wars Support Team Response (GM [CV]) 07/02/2009 03:59 PM Hello, The Development Team is continuing to investigating the code for the Xunlai Tournament House. In order to accurately distribute points from June 18 the underlying issues with the Xunlai Tournament House will need to be resolved first. As soon as the code has been fixed the points from June 18 will automatically be distributed. We will continue to keep you informed as we get more information or as soon as we know when the Xunlai Tournament House will be available again. For additional updates you can also visit the following website. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:...naobra/Journal Thank you, GM [CV] The Guild Wars Support Team |

It was sent from ncsoft (had my incident number et al).....got mine on 2/22. Thought nothing of it since they had cleared up the xth stuff already, though I think they might be 'trying' to clear out their open tickets....lol
